Winter 2020 Newsletter: DustBowl Theater Estimates
Back in the Winter 2020 Newsletter edition, the city of Eloy was still browsing through the options in rehabilitating the abandoned Dust Bowl Theater. Part of it is understanding the cost associated to each option.
The City recently contracted with Rider Levitt and Bucknall to prepare a series of four estimates that will assist in future decisions relating to the now abandoned Dust Bowl Theater. The Dust Bowl closed its doors in the mid-1980s and has succumbed to the elements. Now it provides shelter for mainly pigeons and the occasional owl. Before any decision can be made, it is essential to understand the costs involved with every option from restoration to demolition. This information will serve the Council in its decision-making process by providing sound and quantifying baseline data. A presentation of findings is expected to be at the December 7h City Council meeting.
