Is there enough space to work in for the Dustbowl Entertainment District?

Eloy City Work Session

Date: March 1, 2021

During the Eloy City Council Work Session held last March 1, 2021, Council Member Jose Garcia asked if there is enough space to work on for this project.

Councilman, Jose Garcia
First, I think the days of the single theater, single-spring theater are long gone. Kinda like the prohibition, so I don’t think that was even realistic for us to even think about that. A park on an intersection that's been a lot of accidents and fatalities, also would not be a good idea. I like what I’m seeing there, okay? But I do have to ask, a lot of this I may not be picturing out completely. Do you have enough space there to work all that? Because I’m seeing a more narrow building in that area. -

Schwann Hanns responded to Council Member, Jose Garcia and mentioned how the actual dimension was taken from Google Earth. He also added how the concept of the building features won't occupy that much space.

Schwann Hanns

The presentation is actually based on the actual dimension of the Dust Bowl, taken from Google Earth. So they did take the dimension and did build the 3D model according to what’s in Google. It is supposed to be of comparable dimension. As far as the inside, those food courts, they are not taking too much space. If you go to like a lot of this kind of concept, food courts are pretty small. And they have a lot of cabinets and everything on top.
